Steam gifting topic
« on: October 28, 2011, 11:34:46 PM »
Hey,

Anyone from the US willing to gift games through Steam? I've been looking at games but thought *meh* too expensive in euro's... There are some games that are more fair in price (50 dollar <-> 34 euro) but most of them are still up there.

I can send the money through paypal (sigh   :-X ).

I can't help you much, some games for Germany are even censored or not available.

Hmm aren't you in the same Steam region as me?

That makes me wonder if I gift you games you will get the uncensored one. Edit: Browsed the Steam forum and this should work if the gifter can buy the uncut version. So if you ever needhelpjust let me know.

Anyway you can check on this site to see which games are fair priced. I am looking for someone who can gift me Orce Must Die + the DLC.

You might want to hate your government actually...

Because it actually it isn't Steam that sets the prices... it is the game publishers who say the dollar amount.  The publishers decide on those prices on information from how your governments calculate the cost of living and how they CHOOSE to set the living-standard vs income.

I looked into that a couple of years ago when learning about Steam.  ;)

I am a Collector/Gamer who plays mostly FPS's, pre-WinXP, on PC and Consoles, but also play other types of classic games on consoles, handhelds, and Plug-n-Play systems. From Pong to GTA series.  I enjoy them all. :)
Also I collect Shovelware/compilations/official add-ons for most PC FPS's. :)
