I got the hi-res (200MB) version and burned a few DVD's to give to people over the next few days... just casual gamers who don't go to forums... looks amazing even on giant screens.

I am fine with the trailer.  I am not even going to bother to pick it apart.  The game is coming.  Everything can be improved.  Some people are being really irritating on other forums about the new media and information.
GearBox forums are insane right now... I am out about $100 just in putting in my 2cents every time crazy people make irritating posts. ;)  I hope everyone understands that if you don't agree with my opinion, you are a <insert lots of cursing here> stupid moron... I learned that logic on other forums as well. :)

I am not happy with the current box art.  It does have the Comedy Central look to it in my opinion... like I said at GearBox... I think the reason people are complaining so much is that the art was not done by a Duke Fan or an action game player, and it shows.  We are all buying the game anyway I am pretty sure. :)

I am really excited about this game finally making it to release... and I am so glad most everyone here seems so civil compared to the war zone forums I have been living in for the last 24 hours.

Post some links please heh. I could use a good read. :)

There was a big change from the side scrolling game to the 3d type.
Not quite sure how the new game will play so will see..

That trailer works better at 11pm rather then 11 am if you know what i mean.

Those older cartoon type games like Duke3d and the expansion paks  just have a special place in gaming history.. Good story, a few things to accomplish, exceptional fps playability.

Ughh.. those GBX forums have really began to annoy me. So many idiots posting garbage on there, I don't even wanna think about it. The forums started off great and then became horrible once individuals began to 'step forward' and try to take the role as 'all knowing leader.' It's VERY irritating. The only ones that should be acting like admins are the admins themselves. Just my 2 cents.

Some people like to be dominant with their "superior opinion". The old DNF boards at 3D Realms weren't much better then the ones at Gearbox.

Really... can't they tell that my opinion is right and theirs is wrong?  What is up with that?
(hehehe... I think I nailed the mentality that is so irritating hu? :) )

If I were a Moderator I would ban most of them actually.  Some people might argue that it would get rid of most of the members, but it doesn't actually.  What happens is people with more rational habits and better communication skills fill in.
I lurked for years on Apogee/3D Realms forums before I joined.  It took a long time to learn to tolerate what you see today.

The only forums I had used didn't allow anything like what we see at3D Realms and GearBox.  The private technical and research forums I used have freakin virtual COPS on them... you don't "change subjects when cornered" or "redirect" or "pre-load statements"... none of that is allowed. Besides that you could lose your job over it when it was sent to your Admin.  You say what you mean...  While jokes are allowed, they are minimal, but not due to eggshells walked on, but because you only go there for real and structured discussions.  They also allowed evolution of discussion, but no off topic posts were allowed.

An example would be like this... you could not say "Your board sucks."  You weren't allowed to state an opinion unsubstantiated.  That filters out lazy people right off. (board meaning Digital Electronics circuit board in this case)  It was so great to me to be able to learn like this.  I still visit a couple of private boards where I am invited because I have a Superior Opinion. (ok, not really, but I am invited because of experience in a given area)  :)

Thx!   100 pages of opinions of cover art lmao. One of the threads is Box art.
Is a dvd case a box? just kidding.
Edit..lol some things were not meant to last forever except for maybe Duke
Will see the reviews after the game is out ..

Someone at Gearbox forums suggested something like this to include with the collector's edition of DNF;
